Step 2

Generate Content (with Attachments)•Gemini

Sends a text prompt along with zero or more attachments — images (PNG/JPEG/GIF/WEBP), PDFs, or plain text files — to a Gemini model and returns the AI-generated response. Attachments can be supplied as a Base64 string, a Base64 array, an attachment object, or a URL array. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files are not supported by Gemini's API and are automatically skipped; the response indicates how many attachments were skipped.
